On January 12, 2021 the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, announced a second State of Emergency for the Province of Ontario with accompanying Stay-At-Home Orders to begin at 12:01am on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
As such, the building at Faith Lutheran Church will remain closed. However, for the purposes of pre-recording or live-streaming worship services, we are still permitted access to the building in groups of 10 or less. All those gathered for the purpose of pre-recording or live-streaming must comply with all physical distancing and face covering protocols.
Please avail yourself of these opportunities to worship, pray, study and learn together:
- A Live Communion Zoom service at 10am on Sundays
- A Monday Noon-Hour bible study
- A Christian Meditation group meeting at 5pm on Wednesdays
- Weekly pre-recorded services accessed through this website.
The live Zoom sessions will continue indefinitely during the pandemic. Please contact Pastor Martin (prmartinmalina@gmail.com) if you would like to attend any of these sessions on zoom.
For the week of January 24-31 inclusive, all live zoom sessions will ‘take a break’. During this week, in case of any pastoral emergencies please contact Pastor Diane Raddatz.
In early February, please take notice that there will be a session offered to any one interested in learning more about how to use zoom. As well, during Lent there will be a book study on Ordinary Grace: A Novel by William Krueger. Again, please let Pastor Martin know if you are interested in participating in these online opportunities.
On Ash Wednesday, February 17 at 6:30pm, there will be a live-stream worship service presided by Bishop Pryse (Eastern Synod).
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, March 21, and will likely incorporate a significant online component on zoom. Please stay tuned for more details in coming weeks.
Please stay safe, practice physical distancing and wear your mask.
