In-Person Worship Suspended

Dear Friends of Faith,

At its December meeting, and considering the recent advice from the Eastern Synod, the congregational council made the difficult decision to suspend in-person/on-site worship until further notice due to rising COVID cases.

This means beginning this Sunday, December 19, and including the Christmas services, worship will occur only online. You will be able to access the recorded services via our website at any time convenient to you and your family gathering for Christmas in your homes.

Those of us who have been attending in-person worship greatly value and appreciate having had the opportunity to do so. However, attendance of worship services over the past month suggests that most of the congregation is not yet ready to participate in on-site services. Moreover, given the recent increase of infection rates in the city and province, our church continues to put the safety of the most vulnerable first.

Those scheduled to provide worship assistance will be contacted directly for recording instructions. Thank you to all who have demonstrated patience, resilience and flexibility in these rapidly changing times. And thank you to those who continue to support the ongoing ministry of the church.

Your church council
