CLWR Sweaters for Syrian Refugees

Syriangirlingreensweatersmall

As the devastation of the Syrian civil war continues to unfold, refugees living at the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan are bracing themselves for another harsh winter.  A housing shortage, lack of appropriate clothing and a demanding climate can make life extremely difficult for families who have fled the violence.

CLWR is dispatching a second shipment to support Syrian refugees living in Jordan, and the congregation of Faith answered their call for help.

Thanks to donations from our congregation, we filled 4 boxes with a total of 90 sweaters.  Thanks also to  Trudel Home Hardware in Kanata for shipping these boxes to the CLWR warehouse in Winnipeg.
