Hello friends of Faith,
I greet you at a time when pandemic cases are peaking in the Ottawa region. For the sake of our members’ safety and heeding the calls of our doctors to stay at home to stem the spread of the virus, the council decided last night to suspend in-person worship services at the building for Sundays, November 1, 8, 15 and 22. At the next council meeting on Nov 18 we will reassess the situation in Ottawa and in our community, as we look to the seasons of Advent and Christmas in December. However, until then, you can enjoy our prerecorded services which will be posted on our website and social media on Sunday mornings. I think I speak for everyone to say our hope is that we can return to the building as soon as the situation improves in the community.
Also, in these ever-changing times, the council continued its ongoing conversation about sacramental practice, virtually. And so, for Sundays November 8, 15 and 22, at 10am I would like to celebrate the Holy Communion from my home, inviting you to join me through a zoom call. If you are interested in exploring this innovative way of having communion on Sunday morning ‘live’, or have questions about it, please send me a direct email.
In the Peace of Christ,
Pr Martin
