Invite a friend: “Would you like to come to church with me?” Offer to pick them up and drive them home afterward. Remember, the success of this invitation is not in whether or not they choose to come, but whether you actually asked them! Tell them, there are free hotdogs and burgers on the BBQ for lunch after the service. And while eating together you can listen to our fabulous choir practice in the sanctuary!
Hosted by the Christian Council of the Capital Area, this prayer service focuses on the many ways in which we can be thankful. We will especially remember those who find it difficult to give thanks in times of persecution and displacement. Special prayers will be said for religious minorities in Syria and Iraq.
