Christmas Day worship
Dec 25 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

The festival of the Birth of Jesus Christ, when the Word became flesh. Holy Communion. We welcome this year our friends from Julian of Norwich Anglican Church who share with us together the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord.

Come at 9:30 for a time of “Kaffee Quatschen” (coffee and treats) prior to the service — a good opportunity to meet and greet our visitors and friends.

Lectionary (Bible) study
Jan 8 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

A lectionary-based study of the bible focuses on one of the prescribed scriptures for the following Sunday, according to the Revised Common Lectionary. We follow a general format, called ‘lectio divina’ which is a holy, prayerful reading, and re-reading of the text.

Christian Meditation
Jan 10 @ 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm

Following the Christian Meditation tradition of contemplative prayer, we gather to sit in silence and stillness for twenty minutes, focusing on a prayer word and repeating it interiorly and faithfully, as we enter the prayer of Jesus Christ. We also listen to a recording by teachers in this tradition (eg. John Main, Laurence Freeman), and reflect together briefly on this practice of prayer and our understanding of it. This time together provides an oasis of calm and concentration in a busy life of distraction and rapid mobility.

Jan 11 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Our annual combined meeting of Christian Meditation groups at Faith Lutheran Church and Julian of Norwich Anglican Church. We meet to meditate together and then share a potluck lunch, in this season after Epiphany. We meet at Faith.
